Owners and Residents
Powderhall is home to hundreds of people and we want Powderhall to be a great place to live. We estimate 75% homes are Owner Occuppiers and 25% Privately Rented. At Powderhall the level of amenties and service is provided to everyone equally regardless of ownership / renter status.
Owners Association
Powderhall has both an Owners Association and Committee. The purpose of the Association is to "preserve the amenity of the Development and the enjoyment thereof". All Powderhall Owners (Proprietors) are automatically voting members of the Association. (source: Powderhall Title Deeds).
Committee
The Committee meets and "by a majority of the votes of those present to order to be executed any common or mutual operations ... by the Property Manager" (source: Powderhall Title Deeds).
The Committee is to be elected at each Owners Association Annual General Meeting (AGM). Current Office Holders and Members are:
- Ordinary Members: Frans Kooy, Gordon Chrumka, Kathryn Tomlinson, Jane Garrett, Roddy Martine and William Laing.
- Treasurer: Sabine Goldhausen
- Secretary: (vacant)
- Chair: Craig Williams
Property Management
Charles White Limited in 2026 stated that "We have had the pleasure of managing Powderhall Village since it was first built 23 years ago and we truly value the relationships that we have built over this time."
Charles White Limited has the Authority to Act on witrh regards to Powderhall is accordance with the Charles White Limited "Written Statement of Services" and provisions within the Title Deeds of Powderhall.
Service Contractors
Our Property Management Company (Charles White Limited), oversees the work performed by service contractors to maintain Powderhall buildings and grounds.
Services include; cleaning, gardnering, lifts, parking enforcement, lighting, roofing, repairs, safety inspections and so much more.
Local Community
Currently the Powderhall Committee is seeking to apply for "Interest Group" membership on the New Town and Broughton Community Council (NTBCC) for the mutual benefit for Powderhall Residents and for our Local Community.
